All Saints Day is Wednesday Nov. 1st, so for this week I would like you to choose a favorite Saint to draw in your sketchbook. A reminder that all homework must be done in your sketchbook to earn credit this year.
By special request, for this week I would like you to choose any Halloween costume that interests you to draw in your sketchbook. Remember if you are missing a homework assignment you must bring it the next time you come to class to earn 80% credit. After one class you can only earn a Zero for that assignment.
Have fun and do your best!
I will put a stack of magazines on the table in the art room on Wed. afternoon for some of you that don’t have magazines at home.
I believe there will also be some in the Library. Other sources of color images are catalogs, old post cards, Sunday newspaper,or you can probably find a stack of advertising publications in the front of a lot of grocery or other stores.
I’m sure you can find some kind of color image you can use. Also any part of an image can be cut down to fit on the left page of your sketchbook.
For this week I would like you to choose a color photo from a magazine or printed from the internet, Tape it or glue it on the left side of your open book and then do a black and white pencil drawing on the right hand side. This assignment is to help you see the Values in a color image.
Do your best and have fun!
