Qtr. 3 Homework # 7 Due Mon. March 4th

Next Tuesday is Mardis Gras, so I would like you to find a Venetian Carnivale costume to draw in your sketchbook. Carnivale is a celebration of the season before Ash Wednesday and the 40 days of Lent. It is celebrated in different ways around the world and Venice has a tradition of elaborate costumes and masks. Choose one that is interesting to you or draw one of the examples you see here on my blog. Have fun and do your best!

Another elaborate tradition that is closer to home is the Mardis Gras Indians of New Orleans…if you prefer to research and find one of their fantastic ensembles you may also choose to draw one of those.
