The Kentucky Derby is held the first Saturday in May so for this week I would like you to choose an image of a horse to draw in your sketchbook.

For this week, by request, I would like you to draw a character from a favorite Children’s book. Pick one that you enjoyed and have fun remembering while you draw.

For this week since we are working with actual texture on your mosaic project, I would like you to choose an object to draw and focus on simulating the texture you see. Take your time and challenge yourself to really focus on the details.

In honor of the Masters Golf Tournament that happens this week I would like you to choose a flowering tree to draw in your sketchbook. Dogwoods, Red Buds, Azaleas etc.
